Long-awaited inexpensive novelties: what cars will soon go to buyers
The Paris Motor Show is responsible for the future of the European car market. This year, the event showcased several long-awaited new products that will soon be delivered to customers. These cars attracted a lot of attention.
OBOZ.UA tells about the most interesting cars among the inexpensive premieres. The trends remained true to the latest fashion: the emphasis is on crossovers and electric cars.
Dacia Bigster
This inexpensive car will be a cheap rival to the Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX-5. The Bigster crossover is 4.57 meters long. It is about 30 cm longer than the Renault Duster 3 (based on which it is built). The price of the Dacia Bigster is just under 25,000 euros for the base version. The hybrid will cost 30,000 euros.
Renault 4 E-Tech
The new model is almost the same size as the Renault Duster, but it is equipped with electric power plants. The company previously hinted at a range of about 400 km. And so it was – the top-end version with a capacity of 150 hp is equipped with a 52 kWh battery. The basic version received 120 hp and a 40-kilowatt unit with a range of 300 km. The new crossover will go on sale in 2025 with a price of up to 30,000 euros.
Citroen C4
Depending on the body, this car is offered to customers at the intersection of segments. The new Citroen C4 of the 2025 model year, like its predecessor, looks like a hatchback crossover and has an unusual appearance. The lineup also includes a crossover sedan.
Citroen C5 Aircross
The new 2nd generation Citroen C5 Aircross will compete with the Toyota RAV4 and other popular crossovers of this format. At the moment, this is a concept model, but the production model will almost completely match it. The Citroen C5 Aircross crossover for the 2025 model year will be the closest relative of the new Peugeot 3008 and Opel Grandland.
Leapmotor B10
The main rivals are Kia EV3 and Hyundai Kona Electric. The expected price of the Leapmotor B10 in China is $15,000. In the European market, the base price should be kept to 30,000 euros. Stellantis has started selling Leapmotor budget electric vehicles from China in Europe for buyers who, for whatever reason, decide to choose a Chinese crossover instead of Peugeot and Opel.
Skoda Elroq
The long-awaited low-cost crossover Skoda Elroq for the 2025 model year was officially presented as a symbol of the Czech company's future. The electric model will replace the Skoda Karoq. The new 4.5-meter-long Skoda Elroq electric car has several variants: 170, 204, and 286 hp with a range of up to 560 km. There are also modifications for 370 and 400 km. The price of the Skoda Elroq starts from 33,000 euros.
