Kyivstar to create a Center of Excellence based on AWS technologies

Kyivstar, Ukraine's largest electronic communications operator, continues to cooperate with AmazonWebServices (AWS ),a global cloud services provider.

The first stage of cooperation was the transfer of Kyivstar's data management platform to the AWS cloud. This helped to strengthen the company's experience in data processing and analysis. In parallel with the migration, Kyivstar received the Select Tier AWS Services Partner status and increased its capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), which made it possible to create a Generative AI lab for customers.

"If earlier the demand for cloud solutions was primarily driven by the need to store data and ensure remote work, today AI, analytics, infrastructure migration, and cost optimization are coming to the fore. This is important not only for operational but also for strategic business decisions. That's why our team has been working for almost a year to launch our own GenAI lab to help Ukrainian businesses become more efficient," comments Ilya Poliakov, Kyivstar's Director of New Business Development.

Kyivstar plans to provide innovative AI solutions from AWS for various business sectors, including text and visual content generation, development of smart chatbots, virtual assistants and other AI services.

They will become available to Ukrainian businesses in October 2024:

• Migration to AWS. Kyivstar experts will help customers effectively transfer their business infrastructure to the cloud, providing increased scalability, security and performance;

• Development of solutions based on GenerativeAI. Kyivstar's GenAI lab will offer innovative AI-based solutions: from creating customized applications to smart chatbots and virtual assistants;

• Data analytics and optimization. Kyivstar will provide services for the migration and implementation of analytical data platforms for processing large amounts of data, which will improve management decisions and increase business efficiency;

• FinOps and cost management. Kyivstar is implementing FinOps practices that help control cloud infrastructure costs and optimize investments in cloud services;

• Technology consulting and support. Kyivstar experts are starting to provide consultations on the implementation of AWS best practices, AI solutions and FinOps, which will ensure stable business operations and sustainable growth.

Kyivstar is also considering the possibility of providing such services not only for customers from Ukraine but also abroad.
