On the afternoon of October 14, a wave of reports of bomb threats to various institutions spread across many Ukrainian cities. Law enforcement officers arrive at the scenes and conduct inspections.

Kyiv

In the capital, the police confirmed the information about reports of alleged mining of facilities in the city. At the moment, many institutions are being evacuated.

Residents of the capital wrote on social media that they had received a report of a bomb threat at the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications. Law enforcement officers have already arrived and started checking the building. In addition, a number of educational institutions in the capital and the State Tax Inspectorate received similar reports.

The work of many institutions has been paralyzed due to reports of mining and the need to conduct inspections. The educational process in a number of schools in the capital was also disrupted.

Sumy

A number of reports of mining were also recorded in Sumy. According to Suspilne TV, after 12:00 in Sumy, 10 different government agencies received reports of mining in their buildings. Among them: are Zarichnyi Court, the Department of Education and Science of the Sumy City Council, a service center, and the Treasury building.

The regional police reported that explosive experts and dog handlers are working at the scene. Employees and visitors of these institutions are being evacuated.

Lviv

Residents of Lviv have also reported a wave of mines. Local Telegram channels say that around 13:00 an anonymous message was received by a number of Lviv educational institutions.

In particular, school No. 10 and the Lviv Polytechnic Vocational College were reported to be bomb threatened. Students, pupils, and staff will be evacuated from the buildings.

The relevant services were called to the scene to check the institutions for explosive devices. Later it became known that there were reports of a bomb threat in a number of buildings in the center of Rynok Square.

Bomb threats in other cities

Anonymous reports of bomb threats were made in Uzhhorod and Rivne. According to the Suspilne TV channel, in Zakarpattia, police received a report of a bomb threat at the Uzhhorod City Council. Law enforcement officers are checking this information.

The information was confirmed by the spokeswoman for the National Police of Transcarpathia, Hanna Dan. According to her, the police received a bomb threat at about 13:20. The police added that law enforcement officers had received several reports of bomb threats, but did not specify the exact number.
