There is a palace not far from Kyiv that was built in the first half of the nineteenth century. The area where it is located is shrouded in mystery, and its first owner went crazy for unknown reasons.

Kyiv guide Kyrylo Stepanets published archival photos and a story on his Telegram channel. You can see the estate in the village of Nemishaieve on Biokhimichna Street.

"Osten-Saken Palace was built in the first half of the nineteenth century. The abandoned estate in the Kyiv region belonged to Count Karl Saken. The area is shrouded in mystery due to the interesting fate of the first owner, who went mad for unknown reasons. Later, the estate was resold many times. After the October Revolution, all the property of the last owner of the estate was nationalized," Stepanets said.

According to the guide, a fire broke out in the estate in 2000. All the furniture was destroyed, and the building itself, unfortunately, is still in a state of disrepair. The palace has not been restored since the fire and is gradually deteriorating.
