The controversial Ukrainian singer Alina Grosu has appeared in a new Netflix series called Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story. The artist is currently studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, which Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable once graduated from.

In one of the episodes, which takes place in a courtroom, you can see a blonde Ukrainian woman. Grosu is sitting among the audience and appears on the screen for 5 seconds.

In June 2024, the singer announced that she was taking part in the filming of a new series from the famous American company. "I'm filming for Netflix right now, and I'm happy because I've managed to do it, and it's a very good, interesting project. It's a step forward, higher, and I'm kind of proud of such moments," Grosu told the magazine.

The series Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Eric Menendez tells the story of a case that shook America in the 90s of the last century. It is the story of two brothers who killed their parents on August 20, 1989. Both were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without parole. According to one Telegram channel, the show has already topped Netflix's top list in terms of views in different countries, including Ukraine.

The day before, a new scandal involving Alina Grosu broke out online. The singer attended a private event in support of Ukrainians at the home of the mayor of New York, and later said that she had become "the official representative of Ukrainian culture." However, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denied the artist's statement.
