It became known how much Ukrainian national team will receive if it qualifies for Euro 2024

The Ukrainian national football team will earn a substantial amount of money if it reaches the finals of the European Championship, which will be held in Germany next year. Our team was unable to qualify for the tournament directly but can do so through the playoffs, where it will play Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semifinals on March 21.

The European Football Union (UEFA) has published the distribution of prize money to the participants of the continental championship on its official website. All national teams that will play in the championship will be paid €331 million, which is €40 million less than at Euro 2020. All teams are guaranteed to receive €9.25 million each.

For each victory in the group stage, one million is awarded. 500 thousand will be allocated for a draw. Reaching the playoffs is estimated at €1.5 million, and participation in the quarterfinals will bring €2.5 million. The semifinalists will receive four million euros each, the vice-champion will receive five million euros, and the trophy winner will leave with 8 million euros.

Thus, if the European champion wins all its matches, it will be able to earn €28.5 million. This is €5.5 million less than the winner of the 2020 tournament, Italy, was paid. During that championship, the Ukrainians added €16 million to their bank account by reaching the quarterfinals.

As a reminder, if Ukraine defeats Bosnia in the semifinals of the Euro 2024 playoffs, it will play in a decisive battle for a ticket to the championship against the winner of the Israel-Iceland match.

On December 2, the draw for the final part of the European Championship took place. The Ukrainians found out who they would play in the tournament. The ceremony was marked by an incident with "adult content" set up by a famous prankster.
