Is a comeback close? Klychko has appeared in the ring with a Ukrainian heavyweight. Photo fact
World boxing legend Volodymyr Klychko (64-5-0-1, 54 KOs) has decided to fuel the intrigue surrounding rumors of his return to the professional ring. After Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) defeated Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) in a rematch, there was talk of a possible second fight between Klychko and the Briton.
Moreover, according to media reports, Usyk himself may contribute to his compatriot's comeback and free up one of his championship belts for this purpose. Volodymyr, on the other hand, is eager to break George Foreman's record and become the oldest heavyweight titleholder.
Against this backdrop, Klychko Jr. was spotted training with Ukrainian boxers Viktor Postol (31-5, 12 KOs) and Dmytro Lovchynskyi, who is preparing for his professional debut. Judging by the photos, Volodymyr even shared the ring and sparred with the latter.
"Today, the legend of Ukrainian boxing Wladimir Klitschko came to our training session!" Postol captioned a photo with his compatriot on his Instagram page.
It should be noted that recently, manager Tom Löfler expressed confidence that Klychko Jr. can indeed return to the ring. "Volodymyr is in great shape, he can get back in the ring at any time. Let's see what happens," he said.
The desire to organize a rematch between Klychko and Fury was expressed by Turki Al-Al-Sheikh, head of the General Directorate of Entertainment in Saudi Arabia, who is ready to provide the boxers with large fees.
Earlier, Volodymyr himself broke his silence and commented on his possible return to the professional ring.
