In the Brazilian championship, players scored a goal without ever touching the ball. Video
A unique episode took place in the Brazilian championship match in Series B (the second-strongest football division in the country) between Sport Recife and Novorizontino. The visitors took the lead in the first minute thanks to an unusual penalty kick.
After a draw from the center of the field, Sport Recife players decided to organize a positional attack, but under pressure, the ball had to be rolled back to their goal. Defender Alisson Cassiano, passing to goalkeeper Frans Godoy Kaik, did not see that he was far out in the field.
As a result, the ball rolled into the empty net without ever touching any of the Novorizontino players. The match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of the visitors.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, in March, the Latvian national football team scored the fastest auto-goal in its history. The episode took place in a friendly match against Liechtenstein.
In the 15th second, central defender Marcis Ošs passed the ball to goalkeeper Pavels Steinbor, who stumbled and let the ball go into the net.
