"In order not to look like fools": Russians banned the Belarusian biathlon team from participating in the race of the "alternative Olympic Games"
The Russian Ministry of Sports has banned Belarusian athletes from participating in biathlon races with a mass start at the so-called Spartakiad, which is called an "alternative to the Olympics" in Russia. At the same time, as of February 6, representatives of Belarus in this sport were allowed to participate in other types of competition programs, which will be held from February 9 to 18 in Zlatoust (Chelyabinsk region).
A well-known commentator Dmitry Guberniev wrote about this on his Telegram channel. The so-called journalist, who participated in many propaganda activities of the aggressor country, called the decision stupid and senseless and called for its immediate reversal.
"And here's a great one! Belarusians will not run the mass start at the Biathlon Spartakiad – the order of the Ministry of Sports... We are awesome hosts! But there is still time to fix everything! In order not to look like complete fools... Belarusian biathletes run all the races, except for the mass start! What is the logic? And is there any? There is still time to change all this nonsense," Guberniev was indignant.
Earlier, Russian so-called journalists published an epic story about how the Biathlon World Cup is "not interesting to anyone" without the participation of athletes from Russia.
