Manchester United midfielder Zach Baumann has received a Ukrainian passport and can now play for the national team. The Red Devils' youth team player reacted enthusiastically to the fact that he will now be able to defend the colors of the Blue and Yellows.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) on its Facebook page. The 17-year-old Englishman, who was born in Bolton to Ukrainian immigrants from Ivano-Frankivsk region, admitted that he is waiting for a call-up to the national team.

"I am very happy to have finally become a citizen of Ukraine and now I can represent my country on the international stage. There is excitement, but it is positive because I feel the support of many people. I can't wait to meet the team. And let's go for our victory! And not only on the football field," Baumann said.

Earlier it became known that the UAF has begun the naturalization procedure for Braga's Portuguese midfielder Daniel Rozzuvaylo. The team's coach Dmytro Mykhailenko is interested in inviting the 18-year-old player, who was born into a family of Ukrainian immigrants.
