The Security Service of Ukraine released an emotional video of the return of captured Ukrainians from Russian captivity on May 31. Among those liberated are 70 men and five women.

The footage was published by the SBU press service. The special service said that the return of Ukrainians from captivity is the result of the work of the Joint Center for the Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners of War.

He fulfilled the decision of the Coordination Center for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

"The life of every Ukrainian is the highest value! We are working to fulfill the order of the President of Ukraine and return every Ukrainian from captivity!" the SBU said.

The published footage captured the emotions of the defenders who finally returned home. Ukrainians kissed the ground and hugged their loved ones, wiping away their tears.

As OBOZ.UA reported, Ukraine and Russia conducted another exchange of prisoners on May 31. Seventy-one soldiers and four civilian women returned home from enemy captivity. Among them are soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service who defended Mariupol and Zmiinyi, as well as guarded the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. At least a third have been injured, seriously ill, or disabled.
