Hugh Grant as a maniac: the final trailer for Heretic has been released

British actor Hugh Grant is trying out new facets of his acting talent. And you can see his changes in the final trailer of the religious horror-thriller Heretic.

The film is due for release on November 28. The dubbed video was published on its Youtube channel by ADASTRA CINEMA, the distributor of the film.

In the story, two young Mormon missionaries, played by Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East, knock on the door of a friendly elderly gentleman. However, he turns out to be an anti-religious fanatic, and his house is a real trap, which is almost impossible to escape from and which the owner himself calls a test of faith.

The film was directed by the duo of Scott Beck and Brian Woods. Previously, they were involved in the creation of scripts and wrote scripts for such films as John Krasinski's A Quiet Place franchise, the 2019 crime horror film Ghost, and the Adam Driver-starring survivor film 65.

It is worth noting that Grant, who used to play love interest characters most often, has recently begun to take on negative roles more often. He has played villains in such films as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves, Operation Fortune, The Gentlemen, and The Adventures of Paddington 2. But he hasn't played in a horror movie since he was about 20 years old, when he starred in Ken Russell's action movie "The Lair of the White Worm".
