How to quickly clean food containers from grease: an ingenious life hack

Plastic containers are very convenient both as dishes for storing ready-to-eat food and as lunchboxes to take with you. But washing them from grease is not always convenient, especially when you have to do it away from home.

Fortunately, life hacks for any occasion can be found on TikTok. Thus, a video demonstrating an easy and quick way to clean a plastic container from food residues appeared on the blog of one of the home care brands. All you need is a paper towel and some dishwashing detergent. The tip quickly went viral.

Put the contaminated container in the sink. Take a single paper towel, fold it so that it fits comfortably in the container, and place it on the bottom. Next, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and fill the container about halfway with warm water. Close the lid tightly and shake the container well for a few seconds.

The shaking will remove all the grease from the paper and the towel will mechanically clean the walls of the container. All you have to do is squeeze and throw away the paper and rinse the container properly under running water.
