How to pickle onions quickly: a universal product for any occasion

A pickled appetizer is a great snack for any occasion. It can be served with meat, put on sandwiches, or in a salad. And you can eat it almost immediately after preparation.
The idea of cooking spicy pickled onions was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna with the nickname katia cooking. It is best to choose the purple variety.
Ingredients (for 2 0.5 liter jars):
- purple onions – 700 g (4-5 large ones)
- water – 250 ml.
- apple cider vinegar – 250 ml.
- salt – 1 tbsp.
- sugar – 2 tbsp.
- bay leaves – 2 pcs.
- bay leaves – 2 pcs.
- peppercorns – 4 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the onion into rings and place in a jar.
2. For the marinade, combine water, vinegar, salt, and sugar in a saucepan.
3. Stir, put off the heat, and bring to a boil.
4. Boil for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat, and immediately pour over the onions.
5. Close and leave to cool.
6. When everything is cool, you can eat immediately.
