"Mrs. Walewska" is a cake based on shortbread dough and walnut meringue. The dessert is of Polish origin and is named after Countess Maria Walewska. The cake has also taken root in Ukraine, and many housewives know how to make it.
The idea for the Mrs. Walewska cake was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Nataliia Ryzhkova. The dessert is very simple because you only need to make two cakes.

Ingredients for the cakes:
- egg yolks – 4 pcs
- sour cream – 4 tbsp
- sugar – 200 g
- baking powder for the dough – 2 tsp
- flour – 400 grams
- butter or margarine – 200 grams

1. Grind butter and flour together to make crumbs.
2. Add all the products and knead – it should be crumbly.
3. Divide it into 2 parts. Each part will have a filling.

Ingredients for the filling:
- walnuts – 100 g
- jam – 100 ml
- egg whites – 4 pcs
- sugar – 4 tbsp

2. Sprinkle with nuts and put on top.
3. Put in the oven for 25 minutes to bake at 180 degrees.

- boiled condensed milk – 300 g
