How to make a lean salad for Christmas Eve: a delicious recipe for the festive table
Christmas Eve is the day before Christmas and the last day of the Christmas fast. Traditionally, 12 meatless dishes are served on the festive table, including kutia and uzvar. The rest of the dishes can be invented by the hostesses according to the taste preferences of the family.
A food blogger with the nickname eat_tastyyy on TikTok presented a recipe for a lean salad that will perfectly complement the holiday table. Not only is it delicious, but it's also easy to prepare and made from affordable ingredients.
Ingredients
- Large carrot - 1 pc
- Large onion - 1 pc
- Mushrooms - 100 gr
- Boiled beans - 300 gr
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tsp
- Salt
- Pepper
Method of preparation
1. Boil the beans until tender or use canned beans.
2. Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater.
3. Fry in vegetable oil until soft and remove from the pan.
4. Fry the onion, sliced in half rings, until transparent and remove from the pan.
5. Fry the mushrooms until the liquid evaporates.
6. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl. Stir.
7. Add salt and pepper to taste, and a little vinegar if desired. Mix again and serve.
