Cleanliness in the home is not just an aesthetic aspect of life, but also a guarantee of health, comfort and good mood. However, in the fast pace of modern life, maintaining order can be a real challenge.

Many people face the problem of organizing their time and efforts. That's why House Digest has shared a cleaning method that will help you keep your home clean.

The Pomodoro technique helps turn procrastination into results. It was created by software developer Francesco Cirillo in the late 80s, named after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer he used when testing it.

Pomodoro technique

The method is based on a structured approach and dividing work into short intervals of 25 minutes, with short breaks between them. This approach helps to avoid fatigue and maintain high productivity throughout the cleaning process.

To organize your space, you first need to plan your day carefully. Write down your goals and tasks and estimate how long it will take you to complete each one. Then break larger tasks into 25-minute chunks and prioritize them.

Finally, set a timer for 25 minutes and get started. Stay focused, work hard, and make quick decisions to get things done before the time runs out.

When the timer goes off, take a 5-minute break to write down your progress, grab a snack, or do anything else that makes you feel good. This break should leave you feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the next task.

After every four 25-minute increments, take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes to avoid overwhelm.

Individual approach

The Pomodoro technique is used by more than two million people, from busy parents to professional teams to overworked college students. It helps to increase productivity in any area of life. And although Cirillo has determined that 25 minutes is the ideal time to complete most tasks, you can adjust this period to your needs.
