How to get your cat to swallow a pill: an ingenious trick

Cat owners are all too familiar with the problem of getting their furry pets to take medicine: from painkillers to flea and worming medications.

That's why cat lover Claire Louise shared an ingenious life hack on TikTok that went viral on social media. "Cat pill life hack that every pet owner should know," she captioned her video.

In the video, Claire Louise demonstrates how to administer the pill using a cat treat – a squeezable tube of food with a consistency reminiscent of yogurt. She places the tablet on the treat stick and gently squeezes it, encouraging the cat to lick it.

As the treat leaks out and the cat licks the contents, the woman deftly pushes the pill into the cat's mouth with her thumb. Unsuspectingly, the furry pet swallows the pill along with the treat.

Claire Louise's tip impressed users, and the video garnered nearly 800,000 views in just five days. They called it a genius trick.
