Archival photos are one of the opportunities to look into the history of Kyiv and see what the city looked like in different years. In particular, in winter, when the capital's main street was covered with snow.

The photos were published on the Telegram channel kyivkk. Unfortunately, such weather is rare nowadays.

"1970s. Winter Khreshchatyk," the post reads.

The published photo shows the snow-covered center of the capital, including the Passage, the ground lobby of the Kyiv subway station of the same name, and the then-famous Metro restaurant, which was located above the entrance to the ticket office.
