This was reported by the Russian media. It is noted that on August 25, while eating, he had difficulty breathing. The colonel was immediately taken to the hospital, but could not be saved. The cause of death was mechanical asphyxiation.

It is known that in the 1990s, Eremin was one of the founders of the football ultras. Fans called him uncompromising and straightforward, always "on the cutting edge of fan violence." In the early noughties, he left the football movement and joined the FSB.
