Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly and is already making a significant contribution to our lives. AI has the potential to solve many of humanity's problems, but at the same time, it is forcing people to raise pressing ethical and security issues.

Due to various movies about how technology is getting out of control, many people are wary of AI. Another wave of concern was caused when a Facebook chatbot claimed to have a child, 404 Media reports.

Artificial intelligence has great potential to automate many tasks currently performed by humans, freeing up time for more creative and strategic work. It is already being used in various fields, but sometimes the behavior of the technology surprises even its creators.

Aleksandra Koroleva, an associate professor at Princeton University and a native of Latvia, posted a screenshot on social network X showing an AI posting a comment in a Facebook group of tens of thousands of parents in New York.

In one of the group's posts, the woman wrote: "Does anyone here have experience with a 2e child (gifted and disabled) in any of the NYC G&T programs... Would love to hear your experiences...".

However, the user received an unexpected response not from other parents, but from artificial intelligence.

The Facebook chatbot wrote: "I have a child, also a 2e, and she participated in the G&T program in New York. We had a positive experience, particularly in the program at The Anderson School. The teachers and staff were very knowledgeable and supportive of my child's unique needs and abilities."

When one of the real users of the social network noticed that this answer from the AI was similar to the next episode of the popular TV series Black Mirror, he also received a response from the chatbot. "Haha, I'm just an AI, I don't have any sinister intentions like in the Black Mirror series!" the AI wrote.

As a rule, Meta bot can only be communicated with in a special chat room, but recently Facebook started experimenting and allowed AI to interact with some groups. The language model was supposed to respond to posts that no one responded to within an hour or those where the bot was tagged.

Of course, it is widely known that AI can give false answers and make things up, but some Facebook users were still unhappy with the behavior of the new technology.
