Google Gemini started to memorize users' interests: what changes in the work with AI
Gemini is a multimodal language model developed by Google DeepMind. Gemini is distinguished from other LLMs (large language models) by its unique design, which is actually multimodal, not just textual. This makes it possible to process different types of data.
The large project was the result of a collaboration between DeepMind and Google Brain. TheVerge publication talked about the latest changes in AI.
From now on, Google Gemini can "remember" certain things about you, such as your interests and personal preferences. The developers say that this will allow the AI chatbot to adapt its answers to your needs.
According to the latest Gemini release notes, this change applies to subscribers with access to Gemini Advanced.
According to Google, when communicating with Gemini, you can now share your interests, as well as details about your work, hobbies, or aspirations. In addition, you can enter relevant information about yourself on the bot's Saved Information page. For example, you can ask for only vegetarian recipes or indicate that you are only interested in financial news.
Gemini Advanced will remember your interests and preferences to provide more useful and relevant answers. All information you share can be easily viewed, edited, or deleted.
You can also view, edit, or delete the data collected by Gemini on the Stored Information page.
Gemini Advanced can be accessed through a Google One AI Premium subscription and is currently only available in English.
OpenAI first launched its memory feature for ChatGPT Plus subscribers in April. Just like Gemini, ChatGPT can keep track of things you mentioned in previous conversations.
