The season of winter fun is upon us. To feel comfortable and safe on the slopes, you need to follow some rules. We have prepared a detailed list of everything you need for a comfortable skiing experience. Thus, to know what you should not fotget to take with you on your trip, read below.

Gear

You need to choose trekking poles of the appropriate length. Usually, their height is equal to the distance from the floor to the armpit.

A helmet will protect your head from possible injury.

Goggles will protect your eyes from the sun, wind, and snow. It is better to buy them with polarized lenses. They provide perfect visibility.

Knee and elbow pads will soften the impact of a fall.

Take a small backpack for your belongings. Also, take transportation cases, a screwdriver, and a multitool.

Clothing: warm and functional

Shoes should fit your foot snugly, not squeeze it. Be sure to try on the shoes with the sports equipment you plan to use. We also recommend that you check the fasteners.

Thermal underwear wicks moisture away from the body and keeps it dry.

Membrane jackets and pants protect against wind, snow, and rain. They also provide good ventilation.

Take waterproof gloves with a warm lining.

Do not forget about special ski socks. They do not slip, do not chafe, and dry quickly.

Also, remember that the sun is very active in the mountains, and the cold wind can dry out your skin, so take a cream with you. And, of course, take care of your first aid kit. It should contain painkillers, plasters, antiseptic, and other necessary medicines. Put your documents and insurance in your backpack.

Also, take a thermos of hot tea or coffee. Energy bars, nuts, dried fruits are quickly absorbed by the body. They will help you stay strong.

How to check equipment?

The condition of your equipment directly affects your safety on the slopes. Therefore, we advise you to check and fix it before you go.

Pay attention to edges, bindings, and sliding surfaces. If you notice any malfunctions, it is better to take the equipment to a service center. They will remove rust and scratches.

Also, make sure that the helmet and mask are free of cracks.
