Keeping your home clean is very important, as our health depends on it. However, the household chemicals we use for cleaning are not always environmentally friendly and safe.

However, cleaning experts say that there is no need to compromise. Perfect cleaning can be done with the help of absolutely natural products and products. OBOZ.UA tells you about six such products that will make your home shine and always remain hygienic.

Vinegar

Distilled white vinegar is an almost completely universal cleaning product. Its acidity makes it ideal for fighting grease, dirt, and bacteria. To make a vinegar-based spray, simply mix vinegar and water in an equal amount in a spray bottle. This mixture can be used to clean anything, except perhaps natural stone.

Vinegar has a disinfectant effect and dissolves limescale that remains after water. It can also eliminate unwanted odors and fight mold.

Baking soda

Although it looks like a powder, baking soda is moderately abrasive, so it doesn't scratch even sensitive surfaces, so it effectively removes stubborn dirt. It can be used to clean kitchen appliances, plumbing, and tiles. Baking soda perfectly absorbs odors. Want to freshen up your carpet or mattress? Sprinkle it on the surface, leave it on for 15 minutes (or even overnight – it won't do any harm), and then vacuum up the powder. You can also soak clothes in baking soda to remove stains and odors more effectively.

Lemon

Lemon juice works in much the same way as vinegar. But it also has a very pleasant smell. A single lemon can easily clean a microwave oven. Fill a suitable bowl with water and add a few slices of lemon. Put the bowl in the oven for 3-5 minutes and then wipe the inside. The dirt will come off by itself. You can also use lemon slices to wipe lime stains on plumbing and glass.

Hydrogen peroxide

This liquid, which can be bought at any pharmacy, is an effective disinfectant for surfaces. When combined with baking soda, it is also a powerful cleaner. Mix the two products to form a paste and apply it to tile joints or stubborn stains. In a few minutes, you'll only need to wipe them off lightly. Peroxide can also be used to restore the whiteness of yellowed items.

Oil

This product can be used to polish and clean surfaces around the house. Put a few drops of oil on a cloth and rub the stainless steel well. It will immediately start to shine. Wood treated in this way will also be resistant to moisture.

Starch

Corn or potato starch is an excellent grease absorber and surface polisher. It is also a safe substitute for abrasive powders. If you mix the product with water, it can restore the shine of even very dirty windows or remove stains from the carpet.
