"Fury wants another fight with Usyk for a reason": Warren shares details of the upcoming rematch

The match is scheduled for the end of the year

Commenting on the upcoming rematch between Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs), British promoter Frank Warren believes that the British boxer does not need any "atonement". This is how Warren reacted to the speech of expert Simon Jordan, who said that it was for the sake of "atonement" that Fury agreed to a second fight with the Ukrainian.

"I don't understand what 'atonement' means. There was nothing extraordinary in the first fight. One judge gave the victory to Tyson. The second judge gave the victory to Usyk, and the third judge gave the victory to the Ukrainian by only three points. Whatever happened, it was a very close fight. No atonement is required," the promoter is confident.

Warren has no doubt that things would have been different if Tyson had lost the fight by a large margin or been knocked out.

"He had problems in the ninth round, but he overcame it. He wants a rematch for a reason: he feels he can win it. It was a great fight between two world-class heavyweights," Frank Warren summarized in an interview with TalkSport.
