The European Football Union (UEFA) has canceled the decision to return the Russian youth national teams to their tournaments at the organization's regular executive committee. The organization did not find a technical protocol that would allow the inclusion of representatives of the aggressor country in the selection for the continental championships.

It is noted that a serious split emerged in UEFA after President Alexander Čeferin raised the issue of the return of young Russians to the competition without prior consultation. As a result, at least 12 UEFA members announced a boycott of matches with teams from Russia.
