"Winter is the perfect time to change your hairstyle," says famous hairstylist Christopher Naselli. This statement is based on everything: a new calendar year, weather conditions, and winter clothing, writes Byrdie magazine.

"In the winter months, it's not just the weather that plays a role," says Ricardo Diniz, international head of haircuts at Aveda. The expert explained that warm clothes and accessories, such as sweaters and scarves, also affect the hairstyle: different haircuts are better suited to a specific cut or high collar.

If you're looking for a new hairstyle, you should take a closer look at the January trends. Among them are 60s-inspired bangs, shaggy pixie and many other stylish options.

Curly bob

"The curly bob is one of the most low-maintenance haircuts of this season," says Naselli. If you cut your hair along the chin line, the hairstyle will instantly emphasize the shape of your face. And by making the cut softer, you will make the styling process easier.

"I like to see the bob paired with a turtleneck," says Naselli, adding that this hairstyle works well for most, especially those with natural waves or curls.

"Boyish" bob

Dinis describes this short haircut as "chic and androgynous." The hair is cut to the chin, then tucked behind the ears. "The style adaptability of the bob makes it the best option for people who prefer a sophisticated look," he says, recalling Hailey Bieber's bob.

Dinis recommends avoiding layers for this blunt, straight cut. "If you have straight hair, have your hairstylist make sure the line is cut crisply, bluntly, and definitely with scissors," he advises. "If you have wavy hair, have your stylist trim and texturize the ends.

Smooth styling

To style, Naselli recommends applying a light smoothing spray to damp hair and then blow drying it with a large round brush. "I always use a curling iron to lift the ends a little bit, and then a final touch with a hold and shine product," he says.

A sleek shag also goes well with rich, luxurious winter hair color if you're looking for a complete transformation.

Bangs in the style of the 60s

Long bangs that touch the eyebrows will never go out of style. "It's perfect for those who tie their hair up," says Dinis. As a bonus, bangs are a relatively low-maintenance way to change your look without touching up your entire length.

Bob and bangs

This classic haircut combines elements of both the aforementioned "boyish" bob and trendy bangs. "This hairstyle consists of a sleek bob, just below the chin," explains Dafne Evangelista, celebrity hairstylist and founder of Dafne Beauty Lounge.

Velvet crop

"It's a short haircut that's slightly out of the ordinary, with colored accents at the tips or regrown roots for a softer look," says Dinis. Ask your hairdresser to trim your hair with a clipper, using a longer length attachment.

Long layered strands

"This cut helps to emphasize natural curls and add volume and shape to your hair," says Sabrina Ahmed, curly hair expert. This haircut is best for those with naturally curly or wavy locks.

When styling, choose products designed to care for curls. "Apply a cream or mousse to damp hair to maintain curls," the expert advises. "Use a diffuser attachment on your hair dryer to dry your hair without destroying the curls.

Shaggy pixie

"This haircut is all about texture and movement," says Evangelista. She recommends using the natural texture of the hair and enhancing it with a texturizing spray.
