For Sabrina fans: all about the hit Netflix series I Woke Up a Vampire

The series I Woke Up as a Vampire is available on Netflix. This is a story about a teenage girl, Carmie, who began to grow up and notice changes that indicated she was becoming a vampire.

This series is positioned as an action-packed comedy. It is based on the story of a teenage girl from the suburbs who discovers that she has superpowers that probably came from her biological father (she was adopted as a child).

There are characters in the series who hunt such "monsters", and they are willing to treat her cruelly because she has superpowers.

Kaileen Angelic Chang played the main role in the series. There are two seasons available for viewers. The first season has eight episodes - all of them in the spirit of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina or the pre-teen version of The Vampire Diaries.

The main "ideology" of the series is to show that being an extraordinary teenage vampire is not easy, especially when you are fighting against mean girls, rude principals, and the creepy side that hides behind high school life.

The plot:

Strange things start happening to Carmie when she turns 13, but even her best friend Kev is a little skeptical at first about her dream of becoming a vampire. One day, Kev witnesses Carmie kick a giant trash can off the curb across the street and then into a tree. He warns Carmie that people who acquire superpowers also tend to make enemies, and she better watch out.

Carmie just wants to show off her new abilities to the world. She encounters a mean girl, Leanna (Araujo), when they try to outplay each other during the school musical audition, after which Carmie ends up in the principal's office. Meanwhile, things get even stranger: on the way home, Carmie miraculously saves Madison from being hit by a car, and another new boy, Dylan, has just moved in. His main hobby is hunting other kids like Carmie.

In just 24 hours of adolescence, Carmie has a new string of enemies who are suspicious of her growing fangs and her new levitating habit.
