Flight attendant talks about dangerous ways to sleep on an airplane

If you are planning to sleep on an airplane, experts warn that you should not rest your head on the window or the hull of the aircraft. The fact is that these places are very rarely cleaned and even if they are, not always thoroughly.

According to Best Life, this was stated by Linda Ferguson, a flight attendant with 24 years of experience. She noted that passengers often cough and sneeze near the windows, which makes this place particularly dirty.

According to Ferguson, although the windows offer a great view, they are also a source of bacteria.

"I see plenty of people carry Lysol wipes with them that will wipe the area around their seat. If there was a backlight and they could light up a plane with all the germs, I think it would petrify everybody," the flight attendant said.

She added that she herself always follows a simple rule: don't touch your face with your hands on an airplane.

Flight attendant named the dirtiest items on the plane.

In addition, the tray table cannot be used as a pillow either. It is often dirtier than the toilet flush button.

"Those tray tables are used for all kinds of things. During flights, I've seen parents changing babies on top of tray tables. I've seen people put their bare feet on top of tray tables," Ferguson added.

According to experts, planes for short flights are more likely to be more polluted than those for long journeys.

Ferguson says it's never a bad idea to take an antiseptic with you. Air vents, seat back pockets, toilets, and headrests are also considered highly contaminated.
