It will be a great fight: Tyson Fury returns to boxing – media
Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) has begun preparing for his return to boxing. The Gypsy King is seriously considering resuming his career, which he announced in mid-January after his defeat in a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs).
This was reported by Boxing Kingdom on its page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. According to the source, Fury is determined not just to return to the professional ring, but to fight his compatriot Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Oddschecker, trainer Ben Davison called the chances of organizing a fight between the two Britons as high as ever, Boxing Scene reports.
"I would say that the chances are higher than ever with the advent of Riyadh Season, which helped bring all the promoters and broadcasters together. When you box, it's important to have a partner, and these two have been partners for a long time," said Joshua's mentor.
Fury has already officially retired twice. In 2017, he announced his retirement from boxing after defeating Wladimir Klitschko, and in 2022, after defeating Dillian Whyte (30-3, 20 KOs). After those announcements, Tyson returned to the ring a few months later.
Last year, the Briton lost twice to Usyk. In May, our compatriot was stronger by a split decision, and in the December rematch, he won by unanimous decision.
