Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular because they are environmentally friendly, economical, and dynamic. However, many models are so expensive that middle-income people cannot afford them.

Of course, there are economical and budget-friendly eco-friendly cars on the market that many people can afford, but there are also powerful, luxurious electric cars that only the rich can afford. GO shared a list of such vehicles.

Porsche Taycan

Many electric cars that have an incredibly high price are electrified versions of gas or gasoline models.

The starting retail price of the Porsche Taycan EV sedan in the US market for 2024 is $ 90,900. The cost of the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo starts at $101,900, the Taycan 4S - from $111,700, and the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo - from $118,200. It is worth noting that in Ukraine the price may be even higher.

Audi e-tron GT

Porsche is not the only German luxury car manufacturer whose electric cars are beyond the budget of most ordinary families.

The Audi e-tron GT has a luxurious look and high-quality performance characteristics. In the US market, the price of a car with 523 horsepower starts at $106,500.

Mercedes-Benz EQS

The six-seater Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan completes the top three German luxury electric vehicles that the vast majority of people can only dream of buying.

It has a range of approximately 560 km, and its cost starts at $100,000.

Rivian R1T

Luxury sedans and high-end sports cars are not the only ones that tempt middle-class buyers.

Rivian's first production model, the R1T electric truck, was launched with a starting price of around US$80,000. The up-and-coming American electric vehicle manufacturer has since lowered the recommended retail price for its R1T pickup, but with a starting price of US$69,900, it is still out of reach for most buyers.

Hummer EV

There are four Hummer EV pickups with a starting retail price of $96,550 to $148,000.

In addition, Hummer also has a quartet of EV SUVs with a starting price of $96,550 to $138,000.

Chevrolet Silverado.

This is an electrified version of one of the most popular American trucks.

The Chevrolet Silverado EV in 2024 has an initial retail price of about $80,000.
