Russian air defense allegedly repelled a massive UAV attack on the night of September 29

On the night of September 29, the aggressor country Russia came under massive drone attack, which resulted in fires in four regions. In particular, explosions were heard near military camps and other military and energy facilities.

Residents of Krasnodar Krai, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Rostov, Voronezh, and Volgograd regions complained about this. Before the local authorities claimed to have "repelled the attack," numerous images of hits in various locations appeared in Russian Telegram channels.

According to propagandists, it was particularly stressful in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai. Users in local channels complained about explosions near the military town, which also houses a Russian Navy airfield. The 859th Centre for Combat Application and Crew Training for Naval Aviation and its 190th Mixed Aviation Training Regiment are based there.

Some pro-war channels claimed that several UAVs were moving from the Belosaray Spit towards Yeysk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, namely towards energy and strategically important military facilities in Volgograd, Tambov, Orel, Lipetsk, Tula and Saratov regions. In addition, drones were allegedly seen in the Kuban and Stavropol. According to the propagandists, there were "a total of 70 to 150 Ukrainian UAVs".

Explosions were also heard in Tsimlyansk, Rostov region. At first, the governor said that everything was "under control" as in the Azov region, Russian air defense allegedly destroyed four drones. In the morning, he reported "18 downed UAVs" without any consequences.

His colleague from Krasnodar Krai claimed that in the village of Shabelskoye, the drone suppressed by the electronic warfare forces "hit a tree and exploded" during its fall, smashing windows and doors in a nearby house and damaging a car.

According to the governor of the Voronezh region, "several downed drones fell in the regional center," causing fires. Local residents said they heard at least 10 explosions.

Later, Russian channels reported new explosions in Voronezh, as well as explosions and fires in Volgograd region, where a large ammunition depot in the village of Kotluban was allegedly hit.

In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 125 drones were "destroyed in seven regions of the Russian Federation overnight." According to it, 67 UAVs were intercepted by their air defense system over the territory of Volgograd region, 18 - over Rostov region, an 17 - over Belgorod and Voronezh regions. The governors of Volgograd and Rostov regions reported "dry grass catching fire" due to falling debris. The aggressor country's defense ministry did not even mention Krasnodar Krai.

As previously reported, on September 28, a railway bridge in the Samara region of the Russian Federation was blown up by an explosion. The incident caused significant damage to the infrastructure and made Russians "concerned."
