In the Russian city of Belgorod, on the night of May 9, a missile threat was announced three times, and in the morning, they reported the downing of "Ukrainian shells" from MLRS and drones. Explosions were heard in the city, and fires broke out at the sites of the alleged arrivals.
This was reported by local Telegram channels, publishing footage of black smoke. The authorities confirmed the information about the victims, damaged houses and cars.
According to propagandists, cars were on fire in two districts of the city. The explosions broke windows in the apartments of a residential high-rise building. In addition, the fire engulfed a garage cooperative.
In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the downing of "15 Vampire MLRS missiles" over the Belgorod region. It was also reported that Russian air defense systems had allegedly landed one UAV there, two more in the Bryansk region, and three in the Kursk region.
"It is unclear from the report how many air targets may not have been hit, resulting in 19 apartment buildings damaged and nine cars burned in Belgorod, according to authorities. Eight people have been reported injured, including an 11-year-old girl," the propagandists stated.
