Former Dynamo captain Serhiy Sydorchuk scored his first goal in 7 matches at Belgian side Westerlo. The 32-year-old Ukrainian national team midfielder scored against Leuven in the 13th round of the national championship in the Jupiler League (the country's top football division).
In the 69th minute, with a 1-0 lead, Westerlo was awarded a penalty kick. The shot was taken by a defender, the ball bounced into the goalkeeper's center, where Arthur Pickford returned the ball to Sydorchuk.
Our compatriot left the goalkeeper no chance with a shot from 15 meters out.
After 5 minutes, Serhiy received a yellow card. The match ended with a score of 2-0, which allowed Westerlo from the city of the same name in the south of Belgium to gain 10 points, rising from the last to the penultimate place in the standings.
