Emily in Paris has been renewed for season 5: what awaits viewers in the new episodes

The American company Netflix has extended the comedy-drama series Emily in Paris for the 5th season. According to the actress Lily Collins, who played the main role in the movie, the new episodes will show the viewers a big change in her character's life.

According to Netflix Tudum, after the premiere of Season 4, the movie gained 19.9 million views in a few days and entered the top ten in 93 countries. The huge success inspired the project developers to show fans more stories from Emily Cooper's life.

The creators of the series noted that despite such changes in the character's life, the title and concept of the drama will not change: "This does not mean that Emily will no longer be in Paris. It's just that now she will sometimes be in Rome."

According to Lily Collins, in Season 5, her character will change her approach to life and finally open her heart to a new man. The actress admitted that she is looking forward to the development of their romance.

"Marcello is a completely different adventure that we want for Emily. Ultimately, we want Emily to have a better work-life balance. We want Emily to be able to smile without any conditions. We want to see her out of vacation mode. And it comes at the perfect time," the celebrity shared.

The scriptwriter of the series confirmed the star's words. He noted that in the new season, viewers will be able to explore in more detail the relationship between the couple, who have a "real spark".
