Tesla has officially unveiled its new self-driving vehicles - Cybercab and Robovan. The company's CEOElon Musk said that the vehicles will appear on the roads by 2027 and will cost up to 30 thousand dollars. The company also showed Optimus humanoid robots capable of performing household tasks.

The presentation was held at the Warner Bros. Hollywood studio in California on Thursday evening, October 10, and broadcast on Tesla's website and X page. Elon Mask drove up to the stage in one of Tesla's robotaxis, telling the audience that these elegant cars have no steering wheel or pedals, the Associated Press reports.

The Cybercab is controlled by artificial intelligence and equipped with inductive (plug-free) chargers, Reuters reports.

Musk also expressed confidence in the company's progress in Self-Driving technology, which allows cars to drive without human intervention.

"We’ll move from supervised Full Self-Driving to unsupervised Full Self-Driving. where you can fall asleep and wake up at your destination. It’s going to be a glorious future," the billionaire said.

According to him, Tesla expects Cybercab to cost less than $30 thousand.

He estimated that the cars will be available "by 2027."

Tesla also expects to make Full Self-Driving technology available on its popular Model 3 and Model Y cars in Texas and California in 2025.

Elon Musk also demonstrated a disembodied Robovan van that can carry up to 20 passengers.

In addition, Tesla's presentation showed updated Optimus humanoid robots capable of performing household tasks, as well as a video of them doing everyday tasks such as carrying parcels and watering plants.

The robots walked a couple meters away from visitors and then demonstrated dance moves in a futuristic gazebo.

According to Musk, Optimus will cost from 28 to 30 thousand dollars. Among other things, they will be able to take care of children, mow lawns, and bring groceries.

"The Optimus robots will walk among you—so please be nice to them. You’ll be able to walk right up to them, and they’ll even serve drinks at the bar," Musk commented.

According to AP, the Cybercab presentation came as Musk is trying to convince investors that Tesla is primarily engaged in artificial intelligence and robotics, as it is having difficulty selling its main products, an outdated line of electric cars.

Jeff Osborne, an analyst at US investment bank TD Cowen, wrote in a research note last week that Tesla's lineup is going through a rough patch and is unlikely to be updated until at least the end of 2025.

Osborne also noted that, according to TD Cowen, "politicization of Elon" is tarnishing the Tesla brand among Democrat buyers in the U.S.

As you know, Musk has endorsed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Last weekend, he joined him at a rally in Pennsylvania.
