Dynamo beats Metalist-1925

Dynamo Kyiv defeated Kharkiv Metalist-1925 in the postponed match of the third round of the Premier League draw with a score of 4-2. Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team won their third consecutive victory after the resignation of Romanian Mircea Lucescu.

The game started perfectly for the White and Blues. Already in the 11th minute, midfielder Nazar Voloshyn took advantage of a great pass from team captain Vitalii Buialskyi, and going one-on-one with the goalkeeper, calmly sent the ball into the net. In the middle of the half, Kyiv's No. 91 scored a double, successfully finishing after a shot by the home team's midfielder Mykola Shaparenko.

In the 30th minute, Kharkiv managed to score one goal in response thanks to an accurate shot by Vladyslav Dmytrenko. However, almost immediately, Dynamo forward Vladyslav Vanat closed the play from the corner flag (3: 1). The visitors' situation became critical when midfielder Kostiantyn Bichek received a second yellow card.

After the break, Kyiv completely dominated the field and seemed to be able to easily win the game. The guests had a different opinion and in the 71st minute caught the opponent on a series of gross mistakes, after which Andrii Remeniuk hit the empty net.

This moment inspired the Kharkiv team, who staged a siege of the capital's penalty area. Still, Dynamo managed to score the fourth goal. In the 90th minute, defender Maksym Diachuk took advantage of Vitalii Supriaha and hit the ball into the net from a couple of meters.

The victory allowed the Kyiv team to gain 25 points and move up to fifth place in the UPL standings.
