Dynamo refused to sell Ukrainian national team player for 29 million euros
Dynamo Kyiv has rejected an offer to buy Ukrainian national team defender Ilya Zabarnyi, the Dynamo Kyiv Inside Telegram channel reports. According to media reports, the player was offered 25 million pounds (29 million euros).
The Londoners' interest in Zabarnyi became known on August 28. At that time, the press reported that the capital's team had received an official letter regarding the player's possible transfer.
It is worth noting that Dynamo Kyiv Inside was the first to announce the sale of Vitaliy Mykolenko to Everton.
Zabarnyi celebrated his 20th birthday on September 1. He is a native of Kyiv and a graduate of Dynamo. With the U-19 team, he participated in the 2019/20 UEFA Youth League, where he was a key player, playing in all matches.
In total, he played 65 matches for the main team, scoring one goal and giving two assists.
For the last year, he has been the main defender of the national team. He played in 22 matches with the Yellow and Blues.
The transfer value as of May 15 is €15 million.
At the end of last season, Zabarnyi was ranked 7th in the list of the most expensive players in the UPL.
