Don't be fooled by low prices: which cheap electric cars not to buy
There are a lot of cheap electric cars on sale today on the secondary market. Low prices attract many people, but the opportunity to save money is deceptive. Some cars simply can not be bought.
OBOZ.UA will tell about the worst electric cars, which are presented in the market of used cars. There are a lot of offers, and almost all of them seem quite attractive.
Interestingly, their popularity in the segment of new cars plays into the hands of these used electric cars. However, it should not be extrapolated to cars with mileage - here everything works quite differently from the world of gasoline and diesel models.
Worst electric cars with mileage:
- Tesla Model 3
- Tesla Model Y
- Nissan Leaf
- Fiat 500
- Mercedes-Benz EQC
- Audi e-tron quattro
- Jaguar I-Pace
Tesla Model 3 / Model Y
The bestseller of the aftermarket is actually a dangerous purchase. In Ukraine, most Model 3 and Model Y come from the USA. Often after an accident, but the final buyer does not need to know about it. If the electric car has already been in an accident, even after repair, there can be a big fire.
Nissan Leaf
The design of the Nissan Leaf is almost beyond reproach. But initially the car did not offer a large range. Over the years, the battery has degraded greatly - copies of the first generation at best overcome 70-80 km after charging.
Fiat 500
This retro-styled hatchback is also known for its small range, which is greatly reduced due to battery degradation. It is better to buy a gasoline-powered Fiat 500, it has very little fuel consumption at all.
Mercedes-Benz EQC
On the secondary market, the prices of used cars on electric traction are decreasing. There are a lot of interesting inexpensive offers on sale - this fully applies to the Mercedes-Benz EQC. The model turned out to be unsuccessful, impractical, and in terms of energy consumption inefficient.
Audi e-tron quattro
The premium electric car Audi e-tron quattro has gotten a lot cheaper on the secondary market over the years. In fact, the car has equalized in price with budget novelties of the electric car segment. Interestingly, the quality of finishing materials of the e-tron quattro hinted at this from the very beginning.
Jaguar I-Pace
This crossover has fallen in price on the secondary market as much as Audi. The interior quality is much higher here, but there's less cabin space. And the price will continue to fall, so it will not be possible to resell profitably in the future.
