DIU drones hit Russian strategic bomber at Olenya airfield at a distance of 1800 km: details

On the night of July 27, drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate attacked the Russian airfield "Olenya" in the Murmansk region, located at a distance of about 1800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Damage to a long-range supersonic bomber-missile carrier TU-22M3 was preliminarily recorded.

OBOZ.UA learned about this from its own sources in Ukrainian intelligence. In addition to Olenia, the aggressor state's military airfields in Engels, Saratov region, and Diagilevo, Ryazan region, were also attacked. A kamikaze drone attack also damaged an oil refinery in Ryazan.

Eyewitnesses reported that the first explosions on the territory of the airfield in Dyagilevo occurred around six in the morning local time. Social media users noted that they heard the sounds of at least three explosions.

In addition, local users posted a video of drones flying in the direction of the airfield, followed by a picture of a column of black smoke rising above the military facility.

– Russia announced the downing of dozens of Ukrainian drones in the Bryansk region on the night of July 27. Air raid alert in the region and explosions in the air lasted more than an hour.

– Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov complained to Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin that Ukraine was allegedly preparing a "covert operation" against Russia, which Moscow believes was coordinated with the United States.
