A rare phenomenon was recorded at the Ukrainian Antarctic station "Akademik Vernadsky". The sky was not covered with clouds for a whole night and showed polar explorers a big beautiful Moon.

Deserted and mystical Antarctica can not often boast a calm cloudless sky. Ukrainian polar explorers managed to record an incredible night landscape, which they shared on the page "National Antarctic Research Center" on Facebook.

"It is a rare phenomenon when the sky above Vernadsky is not covered with clouds. On such rare days polar explorers can admire the Moon of extraordinary size," scientists of the Ukrainian Arctic station wrote in the message.

The polar explorers also asked their subscribers to share night landscapes from Ukraine in the comments, to which they happily responded and showed what kind of moon the Ukrainians are currently enjoying.
