No data leakage has been recorded as a result of the Russian hacker attack on the state registers of Ukraine. All information contained in electronic systems is backed up and will be restored, so there is no question of data loss.

This was stated by the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olga Stefanyshyna at a briefing on December 20. "I have received information from the head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection that the data leak has not yet been confirmed," the Justice Minister said.

She clarified that the registers are currently in "quarantine" and additional checks are being conducted."The most important thing is that there is no threat of data loss, all registers will be restored. I ask citizens to be patient," Stefanyshyna assured.

She also explained that all state registers have backups. The information is reserved in the full form in which the registers worked before the attack.

It is with the data set that was "recorded" before the attack that the registries will return to work. According to the head of the Ministry of Justice, problems may arise only with data that was entered within a few hours during the attack itself. Separate decisions will be made based on such information.

In addition, the events related to the registers of the Ministry of Justice did not affect other state information systems. In particular, this applies to the Diia application, which does not store data.

"Yesterday (December 19 – Ed.), after the attack on the state registers, we contacted related government agencies. There is no threat to other information resources, but we have asked all departments to take protection measures. That's probably why Reserve+ took some quarantine yesterday to carry out additional checks," Stefanyshyna added.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, 25 services are temporarily unavailable in the application and on the Diia portal, including booking employees from mobilization, due to the suspension of the state registers. It is also not yet possible to apply for some types of social assistance, re-register a car, etc.
