Chevrolet Lacetti will no longer be produced: production has been shut down

The world of automobiles is constantly changing, requiring manufacturers to adapt to new technologies, market demands and environmental standards. In this context, decisions to discontinue production of well-known models are understandable.

The fact that Chevrolet decided to stop production of the Lacetti model was known back in 2020. However, recently, the Autostrada website reported that the last copy had already rolled off the assembly line.

Chevrolet Lacetti, first introduced in 2002, quickly won the hearts of motorists due to its affordability, spacious interior, unpretentious design, etc. The model was produced in 12 countries, but recently it has been assembled only in Uzbekistan. It is worth noting that it was delivered to Ukraine under the name Daewoo Gentra.

The latest Chevrolet Lacetti is black in color and is equipped with a 1.5-liter 107 hp gasoline engine, ABS, air conditioning, and heated seats. The model costs $13,300.

The successor to the budget car is the Chevrolet Onix. It is more expensive than the Lacetti, but it is better equipped and generally more modern. Its equipment includes ABS, power windows, air conditioning, an audio system, and Android Auto with Apple CarPlay. The top-end variant gets climate control, heated seats, and a rearview camera.
