Aviation hits its own: Russian plane drops KAB-1500 bomb on Belgorod region
Russian bombers dropped another 1.5-ton bomb on the territory of the Belgorod region. The KAB-1500 was found between the villages of Bezsonivka and Vesela Lopan.
The "discovery" was reported by the Russian Telegram channel Pepel. Because of this, the road between the settlements was blocked by Russian security forces.
The KAB-1500 is a Russian-guided aerial bomb weighing 1,500 kg and equipped with laser/TV homing. The munition can penetrate 3 meters of reinforced concrete or 20 meters of ground.
It should be noted that this is the third unexploded aerial bomb found in the Belgorod region in the last day. Two more FABs were found near the villages of Bezimeno and Nechaivka. In the first case, the villagers were evacuated, while in the second case, it was decided not to evacuate.
In total, according to Russian journalists, 11 bombs were dropped in the region over the past week alone.
Earlier, the network showed footage from the village of Kozynka in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. There were ongoing battles between Russian volunteer units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian military. The village was almost destroyed as a result of bombing by their aircraft.
Photos taken from above show that not a single house remained standing after the Russian attack.
