At Moscow airport, an aggressive woman claimed a bomb on the plane, but it turned out to be a "joke": details

At Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport on Sunday, March 24, a passenger said she had a bomb in her backpack. The plane where the incident occurred was scheduled to take off for Yerevan at 14:30 (13:30 Kyiv time).

This was reported by Russian media, citing sources in the airport's press service. A photo of the plane on which the passenger "with a bomb" boarded was also published.

It is noted that the woman reported the explosives as soon as she boarded the plane.

She told the flight attendants that there was a bomb in her hand luggage.

"The passenger is behaving aggressively, moving from place to place," the Russian media wrote.

The flight was delayed, and emergency services arrived at the scene. Law enforcement officers are taking operational measures, propagandists report.

Later, Russian media outlets, citing sources in law enforcement, said that the defendant said she had said about the bomb because she was "irritated by the stewardess's phone conversation ." The phrase about the bomb was actually a joke.

"The woman was unhappy that when people were getting on board, the stewardess was talking to someone on the phone. She said: "Stop talking, or you'll miss the bomb in my backpack," the source said.

After that, the flight crew called the police. The passenger was detained for questioning.
