Another Ukrainian-made movie released on Netflix streaming service. This time, the website added a Ukrainian-Italian family comedy Koza Nostra starring Irma Vitovska. Although the film was released back in 2022 and was available in theaters only, it is now available to any Netflix subscriber.

The film was directed by Italian director Giovanni Dota. In addition to Irma Vitovska, the film stars Italian actors Giovanni Calcagno and Yulia Sobol. According to the State Film Agency of Ukraine, Koza Nostra released on Netflix on July 30.

In the center of the plot, the main character Vlada Koza decides to sell her house in the Carpathians and go to Sicily to help her daughter, who recently gave birth to a child. She tried to make it a surprise, so she didn't tell anyone about her arrival. However, Vlada Koza was surprised by what she saw. The daughter refuses her mother childcare because she is overprotective and wants to control everything.

After another quarrel, Koza leaves her child and son-in-law and unexpectedly finds herself working at the villa of an Italian mafia widower, which she did not believe existed at first. She becomes, de facto, a savior for his children and a reformer of the old and inefficient mafia.

Irma Vitovska often plays comedic roles and she is very good at it. For example, in the movie My Thoughts Are Silent, she played the role of a mother of a strange boy who is trying to have a family vacation. However, she is ignored because her son believes that pursuing goals and money are more important than relationships with his family.
