A Russian boxer knocked out an undefeated opponent with a kick to the head and was banned for life. Video
Russian fighter Idris Abdurashidov (0-1), who previously competed in mixed martial arts (MMA) in ONE Championship, ended his boxing career after his first boxing match. At the Ali Boxing Club show in Phuket (Thailand), 21-year-old Abdurashidov lost a life-long disqualification fight with Iranian lightweight Bagher Faraji (3-0, 2 KOs).
Faraji confidently seized the initiative in the fight and outstruck the former MMA representative without a chance. In the fourth round, the Russian lost his nerve and knocked his opponent out with a kick to the head. Having missed a terrible punch, Faraji fell unconscious face-first into the canvas.
Instead of expressing his condolences to his opponent, Idris proudly posted a video of his action on Instagram.
"So I made my debut in professional boxing. And a lifetime disqualification. I threw this kick automatically!" the Russian fighter captioned the video.
After boxing fans bombarded Abdurashidov with angry comments in the comments section, he hurriedly tagged a photo of himself and Faraji, where he wrote that he had made peace with his rival.
