A massive fire broke out at an oil depot in Kaluga, and loud explosions in Kursk: Russian authorities complain of attacks. Photos and video
In Russia, on the night of November 25, explosions occurred in Kaluga and in the Kursk region. In the city of Kaluga, a serious fire broke out at an oil refinery and at the Typhoon plant, which is part of the Russian military-industrial complex.
Russian propagandists claim that it was an attack with "ATACMS ballistic missiles" – for Kursk, it was allegedly one of the most massive attacks for the entire period of their full-scale war against Ukraine. According to residents of the aggressor country, "the launches were carried out in two stages," but "there were no casualties."
The attack on Kaluga
Local authorities claim that their air defense system "shot down" three drones on the outskirts of the city, and "debris" fell on one of the industrial enterprises.
This statement was made by the head of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha. Here is how he reacted to the incident:
"On the outskirts of Kaluga, air defense forces destroyed three UAVs – a fire broke out at the site of the UAV wreckage on the territory of an industrial enterprise. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the task force are working at the site."

In one of the videos filmed by eyewitnesses, a loud drone buzzing is heard, followed by an explosion. Flames and a column of thick smoke can be seen above the target of the attack.
According to the network, at least one tank at the local oil refinery was on fire.
Z-channels and local media reported that the region's oil refinery and the Kaluga Typhoon instrumentation plant were attacked.
Russian military officials complained about a massive fire in the area of the oil depot. At the same time, local authorities claimed that the fire was caused by "debris" and that there were no casualties.
Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrii Kovalenko said that the Typhoon plant attacked in Kaluga is part of the Russian military-industrial complex. It is engaged in the development and production of electronic equipment (produces communication systems, electronic intelligence, and radar equipment); manufacturing components for surveillance and guidance systems installed on military equipment; and manufacturing parts for air defense systems, aircraft, and missile systems.
In addition, at Typhoon, the Russians maintain and improve equipment in service with the Russian military, and also produce electronic modules and specialized equipment necessary for the integration of various military systems.
Explosions in the Kursk region
The Kursk region of Russia was also restless. Sirens and explosions were heard, and local authorities warned of a missile threat. Some hostile Telegram channels claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had allegedly used ATACMS.
Propagandist Roman Alyokhin, who calls himself a "military volunteer," said that Kursk had been under a massive attack by "foreign-made missiles" at night. He complained that "it was very loud and a lot of missiles were flying" in the region, and threatened to retaliate.
"The house was shaking a bit even 10-20 kilometers away from the explosions. I would like to say that the air defense system worked perfectly, that is, everything was shot down, but I won't... It's high time to move from retaliation to seizing the initiative completely and multiplying by zero at least all airfields, as well as refineries and oil storage facilities," the Russian fumed.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of November 24, the territory of the terrorist country Russia was attacked by kamikaze drones. Kursk, Lipetsk, Belgorod and Orel regions were under attack. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have shot down 34 Ukrainian airplane-type UAVs.
