In the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv region, law enforcement officers detained a man suspected of raping his stepdaughter. The 16-year-old girl has been disabled since birth.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office. The attacker faces up to 12 years in prison.

"According to the investigation, the suspect raped his 16-year-old stepdaughter, who has been disabled since birth. It was established that the man had previously been prosecuted for committing domestic violence in this family," the press service said.

Law enforcement officers detained the attacker and served him a notice of suspicion of rape of a minor. A motion to impose a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention has now been filed with the court.

As a reminder, in the Bucha district of Kyiv region, law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to a man who committed lewd acts against his partner's 11-year-old niece. The girl came to visit her aunt for the winter holidays.
