Consequences of the Russian drone attack on a multi-story building

On the evening of Friday, October 25, a multi-storey residential building in Kyiv was damaged as a result of a Russian terrorist attack. On the morning of Saturday, October 26, police and utility workers continue to work at the site where a young girl was killed and six people were injured.

This was reported by an OBOZ.UA correspondent. Specialists will complete the assessment in the coming days.

The day before, on October 25, the terrorist country Russia attacked the capital with kamikaze drones. Unfortunately, a UAV hit a multi-storey residential building in Solomianskyi district, damaging apartments on the 17th, 18th, and 19th floors. Rescuers who quickly arrived at the scene extinguished the fire as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, a 14-year-old girl was killed by the Russian occupiers, and six more people were injured.

As of the morning of October 26, police and utility workers continue to work at the impact site, removin the debris and eliminating the consequences of the attack.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klychko, and the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Viacheslav Nepop, also came to the site and spoke with the residents of the damaged building.

"We hope that the fire did not damage the supporting structures (of the building - Ed.). The inspection will be completed in a few days.... If there is no damage to the load-bearing structures, we will start to restore these apartments affected by the fire as quickly as possible. During the day we will have more information and will be able to connect to the power grid and the residents will be able to return to their apartments," Klychko added.

The mayor of Kyiv clarified that currently two victims of the Russian strike remain in medical institutions of the capital. All others have been provided with the necessary assistance. The evacuated residents of the building are also being helped, including with a place to spend the night.

As reported, on the night of October 25-26, the terrorist country Russia targeted Kyiv and the region with kamikaze drones. As a result of the enemy attack, a woman was killed, a child was injured, and residential buildings were damaged.
